Mt. Lhotse Expedition
Mt. Lhotse is one of the fourth highest mountain in the world with the height of 8516m. Mt. Lhotse Expedition gives an exclusive experience of trekking in the Everest region. It is an expedition for energetic and adventurous person. This expedition is suitable to those who are in great health condition and love to enjoy the wonders of the Himalayas. Wide range of fascinating snow capped mountains along with the livelihood of locals living in the Himalayas can be explored in this 53 days expedition.
One can explore the heart of Sherpa homeland from Namche Bazaar valley. The Lhotse Base Camp gives an opportunity to have fabulous close-up view of Mt. Lhotse. The expedition to the top of the highest mountain of the world gives you the undesired achievement of your life.
Detailed Itinerary

The itinerary is changeable and modifiable
After arriving in Kathmandu(1350m), you will be welcomed by our office representative and transfer you to your hotel. Take your time to get refreshed and rest enough after hours of long journey to Kathmandu. Later you’ll be called to the hotel lobby to brief about your stay in Nepal.
The next day will be a day to look around the Kathmandu valley. You can do the shopping around the city. The equipment needed for climbing will be checked by your guide. In the evening, you’ll be briefed about the expedition and all sorts of necessary information about the expedition.
You will be briefed about the expedition at Nepal Tourism Board and the final packing will be done. Get prepared for the next day travel.
You will have a fly to domestic airport of Lukla (2800m) from Kathmandu which takes about 35 minutes. Then you will need to trek to Phakding which takes about 4 hours.
After having breakfast in the morning, the next day journey will begin from Phakding. You will have to walk for about 6 to 7 hours to reach to Namche Bazaar having an altitude of 3440m. You will have lunch and dinner as per the schedule.
The next day will be a full day in Namche. You will have a acclimatization trek to Everest view lodge from where fascinating view of Everest and other mountain can be seen. After enjoying the view you will return back to Namche Bazaar.
After having a day in Namche you will have to walk for about 5 hours to go to Dole. You will be having overnight in one of the lodge here.
A trek of about 4 hours will start from Dole to reach Machermo. Lunch and dinner will be as per the schedule.
The next day, trek of about 5 hours will start from Machermo to reach Gokyo which lies at an altitude of 4790m. Lunch and dinner will be as per the schedule.
Early morning you will have to climb to Gokyo Ri 5357m where you can view the Everest and other mountain and beautiful Gokyo lake. After the climb you will need to proceed to Thangnak which is a walk of about 6 to 7 hours.
You have to start trekking early morning crossing the Cho-la Pass of altitude 5368m. After passing Cho La pass you will have to trek down to Jongla(4830m). It will take about 10 hours to get there.
After getting rest you will have to walk for about 3 hrs to go to Lobuche with an altitude of 4900m.
On this day, all the equipments needed for the climbing will be checked and you will have a rest day at Base Camp.
The other day you will be having a refreshment course to use the gears in the Lobuche Base Camp by IFMGA Certified Guide.
After the refreshment course, you will have a summit to Lobuche Peak and then return back to the Base Camp.
The other day you will be heading to Everest Base Camp with an altitude of 5360m. You will be camping in the base camp.
At the Everest/ Lhotse Base Camp you will set your camps where you will be spending most of your upcoming days. You will have an interaction program with the Expeditions staffs.
Puja will be done at the base camp before starting the refreshment course which will be held on the other day.
On this day, you will be starting the refreshment course to use the gears in the Khumbu Ice Fall by IFMGA Certified Guide and Climbing Sherpa.
From the 20th day you will be preparing and practicing to climb Mt. Lhotse. You will need to get prepared and climb within these 25 days period. On the 45th day your summit to Mt. Lhotse will end.
After the successful climb, you will have another day in Everest/ Lhotse base camp. This day we will be cleaning the camp side area and final packing of equipment will be done.
You will need to get back to Pangbuche which takes about 3 to 4 hours walk from base Camp.
The next day you will move towards Namche Bazaar which takes a walk of about 6 hours. Here you can explore the lifestyle of the Sherpa peoples living in higher altitude.
It’s almost the end of the expedition. You will have to walk about 6 hrs to reach Lukla where you will be taking flight to Kathmandu back.
The next day if the weather is good enough you will have to take flight from Lukla airport to Kathmandu which takes about 35 minutes. Then you will be transfer to the hotel where you can take rest.
You will have a full day rest in Kathmandu. You can visit the local markets and get souvenirs for your loved ones from Nepal. You will have a debriefing in Nepal Tourism Board the same day or the other day to conclude your expedition.
You will have a full day rest in Kathmandu. You can even stroll around the Kathmandu valley and observe the cultural and heritage sites. In the evening you will need to pack your things for the next day flight.
The last day, you will be dropped to the Tribhuwan airport by our office representative or your guide.
