Chulu Far East Peak

Chulu Far East Peak having an altitude of 6,059 meters is one of the easier peak climbing expedition in the Manang region of Nepal. Chulu Massif rises north of the Marsyangdi Khola in the Manang region and forms part of the Manang Himal, which is all part of the larger Damodar Himal. This expedition gives  you a taste of the Himalayas and a rewarding experience to view the Annapurna mountain range. From the top of Chulu Far East, you will witness the enormous views of Annapurna I, II, III, IV, Manaslu, Gangapurna, Chulu West, Pisang Peak, the north part of Himlung Valley.

Detailed Itinerary

After arriving in Kathmandu(1350m), you will be welcomed by our office representative and transfer you to your hotel. Take your time to get refreshed and rest enough after hours of long journey to Kathmandu. Later you’ll be called to the hotel lobby to brief about your stay in Nepal.

The next day will be a day to look around the Kathmandu valley.  You can do the shopping around the city. The equipment needed for climbing will be checked by your guide. In the evening, you’ll be briefed about the peak and all sorts of necessary information about the peak.

Early morning, after having breakfast you will be driven to Beshisahar that takes around 7 hours by tourist bus.  You will have overnight at the lodge.

After a night at Beshisahar, you will be driven to chame that takes around 7 hours by van. You will have overnight at a lodge in Chame.

From this day, you will need to start trekking. You will need to walk for about  5 to 6 hours to reach Pisang. You will have overnight at lodge.

You will have to start trekking from Pisang to reach Humde that takes about 3 hours. You will have an overnight at one of the lodge there.

This is the acclimatization day.  You can take rest after such long travel. You will have overnight at one of the lodge.

You will have to start trekking from Humde to Yak Kharka that takes about 5 to 6 hours. You will be camping in this area.

The next day, after having breakfast, you will be trekking for about 5 to 6 hours to reach Chulu Far East Base Camp. You will be camping at the base camp.

On this day, you will be camping at the base camp. You will need to do climbing training activities at the base camp.

From the base camp, you will have to start trekking for about 4 hours to reach high camp.

You will have to climb to the top on this day. After the summit, you will need to return back to the Base Camp.

This day is separated as the extra day in case of the bad weather. If the summit is successful, you can take rest this day.

Now you will need to start getting back to Kathmandu. You will need to trek for about 7 hours to reach Humde.  You will be staying overnight at the lodge.

Driving for about 8 to 9 hours from Humde, you will reach Beshisahar. You will be travelling by van. You will have an overnight at lodge.

The next day, you will be driven to Kathmandu from Beshisahar that takes about 6 hours by tourist van. You will be dropped to your hotel where you will be staying.

You will have a full day rest in Kathmandu. After breakfast you will be sightseeing in Kathmandu city (Patan Durbar Square, Monkey Temple, Boudhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple). You can even stroll around the Kathmandu valley and observe the cultural and heritage sites. You can visit the local markets and get souvenirs for your loved ones from Nepal. In the evening you will need to pack your things for the next day flight.

The last day, you will be dropped to the Tribhuwan airport by our office representative or your guide.
