Mera Peak

Mera Peak a mountain in the Mahalangur section, Barun sub-section of the Himalaya is of 6654m height. This peak is claimed to be the highest trekking peak in Nepal. Since the main hurdle being proper acclimatization to the high altitude, Mera Peak is a very popular destination among climbers.

From the summit of Mera peak, five 8,000m peaks are visible. Those peaks are Mount Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, and Kangchenjunga. You can also view other Himalayan peaks.

Detailed Itinerary

After arriving in Kathmandu(1350m), you will be welcomed by our office representative and transfer you to your hotel. Take your time to get refreshed and rest enough after hours of long journey to Kathmandu. Later you’ll be called to the hotel lobby to brief about your stay in Nepal.

You will have a fly to domestic airport of Lukla (2800m) from Kathmandu which takes about 35 minutes. Then you will need to trek toPaiyawhich takes about 6to 7 hours.

You will need t o walk from Paiya for about 7 hours to rach Panggom having an altitude of 2920m. You will have an overnight here.

The next day after having breakfast your trekking will start from Panggom. It will take about 6 to 7 hours to reach Ningbo with an altitude of 2950m. You will have an overnight here.

The next day after having breakfast your trekking will start from Ningbo. It will take about 7 hours to reach Kothe with an altitude of 3350m. You will have an overnight here.

The next day after having breakfast your trekking will start from Bamboo Camp. It will take about 6 to 7 hours to reach Kothe with an altitude of 3680m. You will have an overnight here.

The next day after having breakfast your trekking will start from Khote. It will take about 6 to 7 hours to reach Thangnak with an altitude of 4358m. You will have an overnight here.

The day will be the acclamation day in Thangnak.

After the acclamation day your trekking will start where you will need to walk about 4 to 5 hours from Thangnak. After the walk you will reach Khare(5045m)

The next day after having breakfast your trekking will start from Khare. It will take about 6 hours to reach Mera La with an altitude of 5358m. You will have an overnight here

The day will be the acclamation & climbing training day in Mera la (5358m)

You are almost near to the summit day. You will need to trek for about 5 to 6 hours to reach the Mera High Camp where you will be having the camping.

The day is the summit day. You will need to summit to the Mera Peak and then return back to Khare (5045m) where you will have the overnight.

The next day after having breakfast your trekking will start from Khare. It will take about 7 to 8 hours to reach Kothe with an altitude of 3680m. You will have an overnight here.

The next day after having breakfast your trekking will start from Khote. It will take about 8 hours to reach Chetera Lawith an altitude of 4150m. You will have an overnight here.

The next day after having breakfast your trekking will start from Chetera La. It will take about 8 to 9 hours to reach Kothe with an altitude of 2840m. You will have an overnight here.

The next day if the weather is good enough you will have to take flight from Lukla airport to Kathmandu which takes about 35 minutes. Then you will be transfer to the hotel where you can take rest.

You will have a full day rest in Kathmandu. You can even stroll around the Kathmandu valley and observe the cultural and heritage sites. In the evening you will need to pack your things for the next day flight.

The last day, you will be dropped to the Tribhuwan international airport by our office representative or your guide.
