Dorchi was my guide for the Everest Base Camp Trek via Gokyo Ri. This is a spectacular trek and it exceeded my expectations, from the moment Dorchi met me at the airport until my departure Dorchi was by my side. His professionalism and knowledge of Nepal and the Himalayas was impressive. He seemed to know everyone on the trek, knew all the locals and made me feel at home. After a few days you will feel like a local with Dorchi by your side. I really wanted to spend the night at Everest Base Camp with an expedition and Dorchi made that happen. When other trekkers learned that not only was I going to base camp but spending the night they were jealous. It was the highlight of the trip, telling your friends back home that you slept on Everest. That was the only night in a tent. I will tell you the best food on the entire trip was at Base Camp. Accommodations and food along they way were excellent. I will never forget my time with Dorchi and Rida (my porter).
