MUSTANG TREK

Mustang trek is an extravagant trek to enjoy the beauty of Nepal. One can explore the great Himalayas ae well as discover the hidden culture and the traditions which can’t be seen in the Kathmandu.

Mustang trek is a total 16 days trip to Drakmar having an altitude of 3810m. Here in Drakmar, you can view the great Drakmar canyons. One can also view the dramatic or say gigantic red cliffs that give much of a pleasure and peace. Throughout this trek you can explore the lush valleys, beautiful landscape, tons of monasteries along with the wide range of Himalayas.

The best season to trek in this region is usually February to Mid of June and then from September to December. Be a part of this trek and enjoy your holiday in the mountain ranges.

Detailed Itinerary

After arriving in Kathmandu(1350m), you will be welcomed by our office representative and transfer you to your hotel. Take your time to get refreshed and rest enough after hours of long journey to Kathmandu. Later you’ll be called to the hotel lobby to brief about your stay in Nepal.

The next day you will have a drive of around 7 hours by Tourist bus to Pokhara(820m). You will have an overnight at Pokhara.  Pokhara offers magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhare, five peaks of Annapurna and others. Pokhara is city of lakes and has numerous beautiful lakes. We can explore the most accessible and beautiful, Fewa Lake during the afternoon and enjoy boating too. Explore, relax and dine by tranquil Lake Fewa. You can even do some shopping during evening hours.

Early morning, you will take breakfast at hotel and then transfer to airport for morning flight to Jomsom. Super scenic flight of 20 minutes over the mountains with views of 8,000 meters such as Annapurna & Dhaulagiri, brings you at Jomsom, the district headquarters of Mustang. Then trekking start from Jomsom which is the walk of about 3 to 4 hours to reach Kagbeni.

After having breakfast, you will have to walk for about 4 to 6 hours to reach Chele. Lunch and dinner will be as per the schedule.

Enjoying the magnificent view of nature, you will have to walk about 6 to 7 hours to go to Syangbochen. In Syangbochen, you will have the night stay along with dinner.

Early morning, after having breakfast you need to start your trek from Syabgbochen. You will need to walk for about 5 to 6 hours to be in Ghami which has an altitude of 3440m.

You will need to trek for about 5 hours to be in Tsarang(3520m) from Ghami.

Enjoying the scenic beauty and walking for 5 to 6 hours from Tsarang you will reach to Lo Manthang, where you are going to spend your full day.

On the 9th day you will have a full day stay in Lo Manthang. Here you can visit the popular, Namgyal Gompa as well as Tingkhar. One can take enough rest in this day. You can also explore the culture and tradition and the daily lifestyle of the people living in this region.

The next day trek starts from Lo Manthang where you spend your full day. You will need to walk for about 6 to 7 hours to reach Drakmar. Here you can view the Drakmar canyons and the dramatic red cliffs.

In the 11th day you will reach to Geling which is at an altitude of 3600m. You will need to walk for 5 to 6 hours from Drakmar to reach Geling.

Walking for about 6 hours from Geling you will reach to Chussang where you will have a night over.

It will be the last day in Jomsom. You will have to walk for nearly 7 hours to reach Jomsom. You can the beautiful eye catching cliffs and scene on the way.

Early morning you will be transferred to your hotel from domestic airport of Jomsom. You will need to check in hotel and after that in the evening time you can have a walk around the Lake Side. After that will be the farewell dinner party with staff.

This is definitely the end of the Mustang trek. You will have an early morning drive to Kathmandu by tourist bus from Pokhara.  Its take around 7 hours to reach Kathmandu by Tourist bus. Then you will have over night at Kathmandu.

The last day, you will be dropped to the Tribhuwan airport by our office representative or your guide.
